Photo Gallery Calvin Craigan is the first executive Chief in Canadian history to host a political/current affairs television show. Broadcast on Coast TV the cable station on the Sunshine Coast Voices of shishalh is a half hour program recorded in the sacred Longhouse that features the culture, stories, songs and drumming of the shishalh Nation mixed with featured guests like BC Premier Christie Clark, Vancouver Sun columnists Stephen Hume and Voice of BC host Vaughn Palmer. The issues are hard hitting and the questions are focused on First Nations and the role they will play as the future of Canada is being shaped politically in this century.

Vaughn reminded us that in his thirty years at the paper he covered nine premiers and he speaks about the contributions of Bill Vander Zalm, Mike Harcourt, Glen Clark and Gordon Campbell to First Nations issues like Rights and Title.

Former Chief and now Councillor and Garry Feschuk shared the spotlight with Chief Craigan. Garry was the recent recipient of an award at the Aboriginal Business Awards Gala and he spoke about his hopes and aspirations for the Nation both now and in the future.

Voices of shishalh host Chief Calvin Craigan welcomes BC Premier Christie Clark as his first guest and he probes her government’s position now that the Supreme Court has rendered its decision on the Tsilhqot'in court challenge. The show also featured Director of Culture and Tourism Candace Campo live in studio and the first program ended with the Band singers and drummers performing their songs.
