About Administration Department
Our main administration office House of Hewhiwus is located at 5555 Sunshine Coast Highway, Sechelt, BC.
The Administration department provides support services to the Chief and Council, the Chief Administrative Officer and Department Directors. The staff are responsible for receiving all inquiries from the public and directing them to the appropriate contact person.

Administration is the professional team that is responsible for implementing the decisions made by Chief and Council. There are nine departments in Administration headed by nine separate Directors and staff who work in the departments of Finance, Rights and Title, Culture, Communications, Resource Management, Education, Health, Lands and Tsain-Ko Corporation, the business division of the shíshálh Nation.
Staff assist in connecting all appropriate parties for meetings with Chief and Council or the Administrator. All information is provided to Chief and Council prior to meetings to ensure that if any applicable policies are available that they are provided. In addition, staff ensure distribution of minutes to all Directors where required and ensure directive is given to ensure follow-up.
The Administration Department is also responsible to ensure that all the assets including buildings and capital are insured to protect the interests of the Band community, of which are all considered shareholders of the Band.
